Job DescriptionThe Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in developing and verifying software system specifications and requirements documentation, as well as developing support system software capabilities, features, or enhancements.
This position involves planning, performing, and leading software design, coding, and testing, as well as working with customers and engineers in an adaptive Agile environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, specifically in DOD Weapons Systems, and possess a strong background in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and Assembly.
Responsibilities- Develop and/or verify software system specifications and requirements documentation
- Develop support system software capabilities, features, or enhancements
- Plan, perform, and lead software design, coding, and testing
- Work with customers and engineers in an adaptive Agile environment
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics, and be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
Additionally, the candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of software development experience, with expertise in software design in DOD Weapons Systems and a current Secret clearance.
The ideal candidate will also have proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and Assembly, as well as experience with Object-oriented programming (OOP) languages such as C/C++ or Java.
Preferred ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have experience with and proficiency in programming languages such as RHEL, RTOS-E, Solaris, or System-V based Unix, as well as familiarity with CI/CD Pipeline and Static Analysis tools such as Jenkins, Coverity, and Cppcheck.
The candidate should also have experience with and proficiency in one of the following OOP languages: C/C++ or Java.
