Job Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

  • Prepare and review tax filings, ensuring alignment with state, federal, and international tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Execute complex fund accounting tasks, including reconciliations, expense allocations, capital calls, and distributions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the real estate sector and stay informed about the latest accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement robust accounting policies and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to management regarding significant capital expenditures and investment strategies.
  • Assist in the budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting personnel, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting or similar roles, ideally within the real estate sector.
  • CPA certification or an equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in tax preparation with a solid understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in mentoring junior staff.
