Job Summary

The Janitorial and Sanitation Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean and well-represented work and guest environment at Living Spaces. This includes ensuring the upkeep of the showroom, bathrooms, offices, parking lot, and warehouse, which are crucial for providing a consistent experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all company training modules, including Onboarding, department safety, vendor/product training, and sales training.
  • Conduct a daily walk-through of the entire store to address any areas of concern.
  • Partner with other team members to ensure the showroom floor meets Living Spaces brand guidelines.
  • Engage with guests throughout the store and provide excellent customer service.
  • Operate the floor scrubber and vacuums daily to maintain clean tile floors and carpet areas.
  • Dust, wipe down, and clean all areas daily.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, breakrooms, and common touch areas.
  • Keep maintenance records on all equipment used.
  • Conduct a weekly stock check on all supply inventories.
  • Build productive working relationships with outside vendors, in-store staff, and leadership.
  • Support a culture that drives positive company outcomes.
  • Work weekends and most holidays.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year of retail experience in a custodial or janitorial role.
  • Commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Microsoft Office experience, including Word and Excel.
Compensation and Benefits

The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive a team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPIs.
