PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare and enter journal entries into the accounting system promptly. The position involves reconciling and maintaining all assigned general ledger accounts, generating timely financial reports, and assisting with operational analysis as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and friendly work environment for both employees and guests; report safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Manage cash flow effectively.
  • Update check registers on a daily basis.
  • Identify and report any unusual banking activities.
  • Maintain and reconcile all assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Keep all assigned journals and schedules up to date.
  • Regularly communicate workflow activities to the Manager.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for the annual audit.
  • Support both Accounts Receivable and Payable processes.
  • Conduct credit card reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with vendors for account reconciliations.
  • Keep the Manager informed of any unusual activities within the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all financial records and materials.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems.
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of accounting experience is required.
• A minimum of six months of computer experience, including general accounting, spreadsheet preparation, and word processing.
• Ability to accurately maintain and reconcile financial records.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Must comply with background checks and drug-free workplace policies.
