Position Summary:
Are you driven by the challenge of constructing and optimizing high-performance, resilient systems? The Product Reliability Engineering (PRE) team at Visa is on the lookout for a strategic Middleware Reliability Engineering (MWRE) Lead. This pivotal role involves spearheading the design, execution, and management of our advanced middleware platform, ensuring our offerings maintain exceptional reliability, availability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and motivate a team of engineers to deliver top-tier middleware solutions.
  • Architect and establish a comprehensive middleware support and deployment framework in the cloud.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience leading middleware engineering teams in complex, high-scale environments.
  • Strong technical proficiency in middleware technologies (e.g., Springboot, MKS, SQS, JBoss).
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and scaling Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing flexibility between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office a set number of days each week, based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD.

Additional Information:
This role may require occasional travel (5-10%). The position will be conducted in an office environment, necessitating the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
