Key Responsibilities:
The Rehabilitation Therapist will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans for patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
- Administering and interpreting assessments related to muscle strength, coordination, and overall physical efficiency.
- Delivering direct patient care in alignment with established treatment protocols.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on the proper use of mobility aids and therapeutic devices.
- Maintaining accurate patient documentation and records.
- Creating specialized tools and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Performing home assessments to ensure safe patient discharges.
- Completing necessary documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred.
- A valid license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the relevant state authority.
Supervisory Duties:
The Rehabilitation Therapist may oversee the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides, as well as provisional therapists in accordance with state guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
This position may require shift work. The therapist will frequently:
- Stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
- Lift and transfer patients weighing between 100 to 250 pounds.
- Be exposed to bodily fluids and other potentially hazardous materials.
