Key Responsibilities:
The Wegmans School of Nursing is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Instructing both graduate and undergraduate nursing students in various educational settings, including classroom, simulation labs, online platforms, and clinical environments.
  • Conducting active research and contributing to scholarly activities.
  • Participating in service initiatives within the school, university, and broader community.
  • Maintaining clinical and academic proficiency.
  • Designing educational experiences that align with desired learning outcomes.
  • Developing and implementing assessment tools to evaluate student progress.
  • Contributing to curriculum development efforts.
  • Engaging in faculty meetings and activities that support the mission of the school and university.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • PhD, DNP, or DNS in Nursing, conferred by the time of hire.
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Active, unencumbered New York State registered nurse license or eligibility to obtain.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time, or equivalent, professional nursing clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of full-time, or equivalent, academic experience in nursing education.
  • Experience in curriculum development and evaluation.
  • National and State certification in an advanced practice role, preferably as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Clinical experience in Pediatrics and/or Women's Health.
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship and service.
