Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Shift: Per Diem

Role Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our skilled nursing facility. This role involves working closely with our therapy teams and the Rehabilitation Department to provide exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with therapy teams and the Rehabilitation Department to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Offer recommendations that enhance communication and assessment processes.
  • Administer speech therapy in accordance with established treatment plans and physician prescriptions.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' speech, dysphagia, and overall communication abilities.
  • Efficiently manage workflow, ensuring timely documentation of individual and group therapy sessions in the electronic records system.
  • Possess familiarity with PDPM and SLP screening protocols.
  • Align therapy practices with a solid understanding of Medicaid and Medicare billing procedures.
Qualifications
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology License in New Jersey.
  • Experience in long-term care settings, particularly within skilled nursing facilities.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with patients of varying personalities and capabilities.
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities.
