Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Smart Building Solutions Sales Professional to join our team at Johnson Controls. This role involves selling our innovative Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit solutions to high-level building owners, fostering long-term relationships with clients, and collaborating with internal teams to maximize sales and customer value.

About the Role

This is a key sales position that requires a strong background in HVAC sales and the ability to effectively articulate the benefits of mechanical retrofit projects. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication and collaborative skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to integrity and quality in business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell our Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit offering persuasively, persistently, and confidently to building owners at the D&C level while reaching optimal profit levels within assigned opportunities and accounts.
  • Foster partnering relationships with owner representatives responsible for the decision-making process to drive the sale of our Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit offerings.
  • Address customer's operational and environmental objectives, needs, and requirements by recommending solutions and linking customer objectives to total value solutions and competitive advantage.
  • Differentiate our Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit services from competitors by applying creativity, ingenuity, and innovation in a value-added sales approach.
  • Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with clients to achieve assigned revenue targets and meet margin goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit executive-level sales.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Experience selling advanced analytics and integrated digital solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications and various reporting tools and systems including financial, market share Salesforce, and BI tools.
