The Position. As a Senior Vice President, you will report directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) and will play a key role in supporting the EVP and Senior Staff in all facets of campaign management, research, and analysis.
- Engaging with state and city elected officials, regulators, and stakeholders to further client objectives.
- Creating innovative and comprehensive campaign strategies to achieve client goals.
- Communicating directly with clients to update them on progress, discuss strategies, and prepare for meetings.
- Drafting and refining various content, including policy memos, presentations, testimonies, speeches, and other external communications materials.
- Collaborating with Shontell Smith and other team members to enhance Tusk's presence in New York by identifying new business opportunities.
- Assisting in the development of new business proposals by generating creative ideas and tactics.
- Demonstrating excellent research skills and the ability to monitor legislative developments.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
Qualifications.
- 7+ years of experience in political and policy roles, including senior positions within the New York State Legislature, NYC Council, or other governmental entities. Additional experience may include work at public affairs firms, in-house roles, or on political or advocacy campaigns.
- Proven track record of contributing to successful policy, regulatory, legislative, or political outcomes through specific project involvement.
- Prior experience in New York City and state politics.
- Exceptional writing abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation. The expected salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $190,000 per year. However, the actual base pay offered may vary based on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and business needs.
