Position Overview:

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for crafting and serving mixed drinks, as well as pouring bottled or draft beer and wine to guests at the bar, adhering to standard recipes. This role is essential in ensuring a 5-star experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Possess a comprehensive knowledge of drink recipes and mix beverages accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare cocktails and other drinks by mixing ingredients.
• Serve beverages and food to bar patrons.
• Monitor guests to address their needs and guarantee complete satisfaction by providing friendly and timely service.
• Implement alcohol awareness protocols to prevent guest intoxication and manage intoxicated individuals.
• Participate in and successfully complete alcohol awareness and safety training.
• Prepare and stock garnishes for beverages.
• Maintain an adequate supply of ice, glassware, and other bar essentials.
• Oversee ordering and inventory management of liquor, mixers, and bar supplies.
• Process payments and operate the P.O.S. system efficiently.
• Balance and secure all cash at the end of the shift.
• Maintain a neat appearance in a clean, company-approved uniform at all times.
• Effectively operate the P.O.S. system, handle cash transactions, and process credit card payments.
• Physical requirements include medium work, involving lifting approximately 30 lbs multiple times during a shift.
• Stand and walk for 6-8 hours during a shift.
• Verify the age of guests appearing under 30 for alcohol purchases.
• Adhere to company policies regarding alcoholic beverages.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Wear approved slip-resistant shoes while on duty.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of bar training and validation process is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is necessary.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 30 lbs, and balance while carrying heavy trays, dinnerware, and drinks.
