Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Banquet Steward to join our team at Castaway Restaurant in Burbank, CA. The Banquet Steward plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our banquet events by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the banquet kitchen and dining areas.

Pay: $20 / hour

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all banquet areas, including dining rooms, kitchens, and service areas, in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Collect and wash dishes, glassware, silverware, and other utensils used during events, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment as needed.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins regularly, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the venue.
  • Work collaboratively with banquet servers, bartenders, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including dress code, attendance, and punctuality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a banquet or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate event schedules.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment as required.
