We are seeking a highly qualified Director of Counseling Center to provide leadership and oversight for all administrative, counseling, crisis intervention, and development services offered to Ocean County College and Kean/Ocean students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for counseling and intervention services.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Counseling Center, manage the recruitment, training, supervision, development, and evaluation of the center's personnel.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation on mental health and behavioral issues.
  • Develop and deliver psychoeducational programs addressing student development and well-being.
  • Plan and manage the department's operating budget and oversee staff responsible for federal and state grant-funded programs.
  • Serve as the principal counseling resource and liaison with campus departments.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in counseling, clinical psychology, or a related field.
  • Three years field experience with a diverse client population, two years directing a team of professionals, and two years in a higher education setting.
  • Licensed as a professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, or psychologist in New Jersey or ability to attain licensure within six months of employment.
