Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall operations, activities, and staff of assigned program sites within direct areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight to direct reports within direct areas of responsibility, ensuring proper staffing levels and work distribution.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and attend program management meetings to promote a constant flow of information and open discussions.
  • Manage the ongoing job performance of direct reports, developing and communicating performance goals, completing performance evaluations, and determining and implementing disciplinary action as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all established policies and procedures, including compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Provide on-call and rotational support to effectively manage a 24-hour/7-day-a-week program for persons served.

Qualifications

  • An incumbent in this position who has graduated from an accredited college with a BA in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Social Work, Recreation, Art, Dance, Music, Physical Education, Nutrition, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Psychology AND possesses at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required with two-three years in the Human Services or related field. Prior management experience and a strong desire to work with neurologically-challenged individuals.
  • Brain Injury/BIS Day Treatment Program Managers are required to achieve certification from the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS) within the first 18 months of employment, and maintain ongoing annual certification requirements.
