Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Investigator to join our team. As a Fire Investigator at EFI Global, you will conduct thorough investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions. You will work closely with our clients to gather information, analyze data, and provide expert testimony in court.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct extensive and detailed investigations to determine origin & cause of fires and explosions.
  • Investigate assigned claims suspected of insurance fraud, including large loss and multiple claims.
  • Ensure that assigned cases are investigated and reported back to the requesting party in adherence to best practices.
  • Provide expert testimony based on determination of the origin & cause of fires and relate findings in a clear and concise manner in depositions and trials.
  • Maintain assigned claims files in a confidential manner and document all relevant facts pertaining to files in the appropriate claims handling system(s).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum certification of NAFI-CFEI certification.
  • IAAI-CFI Certification is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of fire investigation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate, including advanced Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits.
