Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading plant production and processing equipment to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to maintain and improve proper, safe, and efficient functionality of production assets.
- Perform preventative, corrective, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on production and facilities equipment.
- Use problem-solving tools to identify root causes of repetitive breakdowns or other losses and address key issues.
- Develop and implement maintenance improvement projects, including scope definition, resource planning, scheduling, implementation, and acceptance.
- Participate in and lead initiatives related to energy conservation, continuous improvement, work orders, and SAP.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience of very strong mechanical ability.
- Ability to understand interaction of equipment systems and diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC logic and electrical problem-solving.
- Basic knowledge of metal fabrication (machine shop work).
- Knowledge of basic plumbing and water line repair.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the use, maintenance, and care of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Interpret data, identify problems, and formulate proper decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible and related experience working in a production/operations facility.
- Demonstrated experience of working independently.
- Greatly prefer educational certification from a recognized technical institute or military experience.
