Job Title: International Tax Director

At Air Distribution Technologies, we are seeking an experienced International Tax Director to lead our tax controversy matters, including managing audits, appeals, and litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US and international tax concepts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects involving numerous stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead US federal tax audits, including managing day-to-day interactions with the IRS.
  • Work with the CFO and tax team to develop strategies, advocate for the company's positions, and resolve examinations, appeals, and litigation matters.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to assess audit risk, establish or update the company's tax positions, and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex US, international, and transfer pricing matters.
  • Support global tax controversy matters, ensuring coordination and consistency across jurisdictions.
  • Assist in developing strategies and process improvements to identify, quantify, and track global tax risks.
  • Directly manage other members of the controversy team and oversee professionals working on global tax audits in a matrixed environment.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of tax experience in a complex, global environment.
  • JD/LLM and admission to at least one state bar strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental US and international tax and transfer pricing concepts.
  • Experience managing US federal tax audits and appeals required; exposure to US state and non-US audits preferred.
  • Experience managing other professionals preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex legal and tax concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize numerous projects and competing deadlines.
