Key Responsibilities
- Submitting essential technical documentation to regulatory bodies and utilities for new and upgraded projects, while addressing any inquiries related to these submissions.
- Providing comprehensive study and as-built documentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and the accuracy of submitted stability models.
- Offering technical support to various departments, including Business Development and Operations, to facilitate project acquisitions and enhance operational efficiency.
- Staying informed about industry policies and interconnection rights.
- Collaborating with utility owners to devise effective and timely interconnection strategies.
- Conducting site assessments to evaluate interconnection feasibility.
- Developing and refining processes that enhance project execution and engineering standards.
- Executing engineering analyses to support project requirements and establishing design standards.
- Contributing to project planning and process enhancement initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Engineer II: Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Engineer III: Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with protective relaying fundamentals and substation metering applications.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in leading project teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Proficient in computer applications and engineering software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex challenges.
- Ability to interpret industry codes and regulations.
- Effective in both independent and collaborative work settings.
- Proven decision-making and organizational skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Education Requirements
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited institution.
Working Conditions
This role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions, including cold, heat, and outdoor settings.
