Key Responsibilities

  • Submitting essential technical documentation to regulatory bodies and utilities for new and upgraded projects, while addressing any inquiries related to these submissions.
  • Providing comprehensive study and as-built documentation to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and the accuracy of submitted stability models.
  • Offering technical support to various departments, including Business Development and Operations, to facilitate project acquisitions and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Staying informed about industry policies and interconnection rights.
  • Collaborating with utility owners to devise effective and timely interconnection strategies.
  • Conducting site assessments to evaluate interconnection feasibility.
  • Developing and refining processes that enhance project execution and engineering standards.
  • Executing engineering analyses to support project requirements and establishing design standards.
  • Contributing to project planning and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Engineer II: Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Engineer III: Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with protective relaying fundamentals and substation metering applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in leading project teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
  • Proficient in computer applications and engineering software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex challenges.
  • Ability to interpret industry codes and regulations.
  • Effective in both independent and collaborative work settings.
  • Proven decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Education Requirements

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited institution.

Working Conditions

This role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions, including cold, heat, and outdoor settings.
