Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless delivery of our products to customers while optimizing operational efficiency. The successful candidate will evaluate current processes and implement improvements in warehousing and transportation to enhance shipping accuracy, minimize product damage, and streamline order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals in Purchasing, Planning, Inventory Management, Shipping/Receiving, and Logistics.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient warehousing operations.
  • Maintain precise inventory records and oversee cycle counts and material management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to coordinate logistics activities effectively.
  • Manage daily planning operations, ensuring timely schedule creation and execution.
  • Initiate and oversee continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing service levels.
  • Conduct strategic planning for purchasing, scheduling, and logistics functions.
  • Foster strong vendor relationships, including negotiating terms and resolving invoicing issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in scheduling, inventory management, vendor negotiation, and logistics analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, freight cost documentation, and customs regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to achieving results.

Compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, including potential bonuses and incentives.
