About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity for a skilled interpreter to provide exceptional interpretation services between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English. The ideal candidate will have excellent language skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for connecting people through effective communication.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret between ASL and spoken English with high accuracy and fluency
  • Maintain a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues
  • Work effectively in a team environment, receiving support from and providing support to colleagues
  • Enhance interpreting skills through continuing education and training
  • Maintain compliance with national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
  • Fulfill flexible work schedules to meet various interpreting needs in the community setting
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and English language skills
  • Able to pass our required skills assessment
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Interpreter certification
  • 3 years' experience working as an interpreter preferred but not required
