About the RoleThis is a part-time opportunity for a skilled interpreter to provide exceptional interpretation services between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English. The ideal candidate will have excellent language skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for connecting people through effective communication.
Responsibilities- Interpret between ASL and spoken English with high accuracy and fluency
- Maintain a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues
- Work effectively in a team environment, receiving support from and providing support to colleagues
- Enhance interpreting skills through continuing education and training
- Maintain compliance with national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
- Fulfill flexible work schedules to meet various interpreting needs in the community setting
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and English language skills
- Able to pass our required skills assessment
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- An associate's or bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Interpreter certification
- 3 years' experience working as an interpreter preferred but not required
We offer a competitive salary range of $25-$60 per hour, depending on location, education, and certifications. Other benefits include:
