Licensed Vocational Nurse Supervisor-Assisted Living-Part Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as a Supervisor-Assisted Living-Part Time at Seacrest Village Retirement Communities-Best Place. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision to our residents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the medication management and treatment of residents in accordance with Seacrest Village policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Supervise and provide guidance to caregivers, Med Assistant Supervisors, and med room and wellness assistants.
- Participate in employee meetings and assist in the responsibility for inservices related to medications and treatments.
- Help maintain med room wound care and orders supplies in Assisted Living.
- Maintain proper licensing regulations with medications.
- Carry out doctor's orders for prescription and treatments.
- Assist in the supervision of and provides guidance to caregivers, Med Assistant Supervisors, and med room and wellness assistants.
- LVN in State of CA.
- Minimum one year experience as LVN in similar setting.
- Ability to lead/supervise staff reporting to the position.
- Able to communicate with and relate well to senior population families, physicians, and community.
- Current LVN license in State of California.
- CPR.
- CA driver's license.
- Demonstrate ability to schedule staff, to orient, audit time sheets, supply inventory, billing services.
- Working knowledge of blood pressure equipment, blood glucose, thermometer, and oxygen tank equipment.
- Able to adapt to changing demands of position.
- Possess and implement appropriate phone etiquette.
- Able to pass physical, TB test, and obtain fingerprint clearance as required by our licensure.
- Familiar with computer-related skills necessary for assisted living programs and communications.
- Able to practice within Seacrest Village policies and procedures and to ensure compliance with same.
- Knowledge of pharmacology.
- Able to work week-ends, holidays, and shifts when necessary.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on their feet for several hours at a time.
- Hands, fingers, arms are frequently used for holding, stretching, and reaching.
- The employee will be expected to be able to climb or balance, kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch.
- The employee must be able to lift or move, unassisted, up to 25 lbs.
- The employee must be able to occasionally assist a resident weighing more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance and equipment.
- Good vision and hearing are required due to the safety of our residents.
- Good verbal communication.
- Able to transfer residents with appropriate assistance.
- Able to lift, bend, stretch, squat, stand up, and other movements in performance of general care functions and reach in confined spaces.
- Able to transfer residents with appropriate assistance.
- Utilizes proper lifting techniques to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Unassisted.
- Knowledge of proper unassisted transfer procedures and body mechanics.
- Must be able to walk up stairs and walk up to four miles in eight hours shift with ease.
