Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at Bashas'.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the operation of prepared foods and working closely with the Executive Chef to achieve sales and customer service goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and support all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and serve as a role model for other team members.
  • Assist with menu planning and development, including creativity and experimentation with new trends and menu ideas.
  • Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements.
  • Maintain open communication with all members of the kitchen and department manager.
  • Work with the Catering Director and Executive Chef on menu planning and facilitating the production of catering menus.
  • Maintain a high degree of cleanliness throughout the cooking area.
Requirements
  • Culinary degree and at least 2 years of well-rounded culinary experience in the same field.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and effectively communicate with others.
  • Exposure to various work environments, including temperature changes.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be 18 years old to apply.
  • Excellent customer service skills, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a drug and/or background screen.
