We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Teaching Specialist/Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology. This is a part-time, non-tenured position that involves teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in various programs, including Counselor Education, Psychological Foundations, Quantitative Methods in Education, School Psychology, and Special Education.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in the assigned program area, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, exams, and final projects.
- Meet with students and respond to their inquiries.
- MEd/Master's degree relevant to the teaching assignment required for appointment as Teaching Specialist.
- A doctorate or terminal degree in a closely related field is required for an appointment as Lecturer.
- Demonstrated ability to teach course material in the assigned program area.
- Professional and/or teaching experience related to assigned instructional responsibilities.
- Evidence of attention to diverse identities in teaching or professional experience, and the commitment to support the University's work in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Department of Educational Psychology provides training in the cognitive, emotional, and social learning processes that underlie education and human development across the lifespan. Our faculty and students provide leadership and consultation to the state, nation, and international community, enhancing professional practice in schools and universities, community mental health agencies, business and industrial organizations, early childhood programs, and government agencies.
