Role Overview

The Industrial Sandblaster/Painter is responsible for executing various spray painting and sandblasting tasks on designated product lines. This role operates on the second shift, with hours from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, and 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Fridays. Initial training will occur during first shift hours.


Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize appropriate equipment to spray paint and sandblast products.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of all manufactured parts in the specific assembly area, performing quality assessments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of materials and inventory.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
  • Engage in material handling activities, including crating, packing, shipping, receiving, and lifting.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of protective clothing and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ISO quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Exhibit punctuality and regular attendance.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will possess:

  • At least one year of experience in industrial painting or sandblasting.
  • Experience with industrial and marine coatings, including zinc, epoxies, and polyurethanes.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Meet specific vision requirements, including close vision and depth perception.
  • Perform physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, and climbing.
  • Be medically approved to wear respiratory protection.
  • Work in environments with exposure to paint fumes and dust.
