About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at SGL Carbon. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality measures to ensure products meet specifications and minimize defects.
  • Optimize administrative processes within the Quality Assurance department to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and optimize testing work steps in Incoming Inspection, Production, and Final Inspection to ensure product quality and testing results.
  • Support shop foremen, workers, and design engineers in quality-related topics.
  • Support decisions on non-conforming materials and products in close cooperation with the Quality Manager and Production Manager.
  • Prepare, structure, and analyze material and product-related data to reduce quality problems and improve product quality.
  • Support the calculation and reporting of Costs of Poor Quality (COPQ), quality issues, complaints, audit measures, improvements, and other quality-related topics.
  • Support customer and supplier complaints regarding quality, packaging, and transport issues by coordinating all actions until closure.
  • Support the alignment of testing and quality activities with customers and suppliers.
  • Support the maintenance and development of local Quality Assurance in close collaboration with the Quality Manager.
  • Report to the Quality Manager and support planning, preparing, and executing internal and external System and Process Audits, as well as Supplier Audits.
  • Support planning, executing, and following up on approvals of new suppliers.
  • Be the local contact person and coordinator for the control of quality documents and administrate local controlled documents and records.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (e.g., Chem Eng, Mech Eng, Industrial Eng).
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience in Quality Control.
  • Familiarity with ISO 1, Quality, and Testing Methods.
