Job Overview

Position Summary

Bohannan Huston Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Materials Technician to join our team. This full-time role will primarily involve working in a dynamic environment, performing essential testing procedures in both field and laboratory settings.

As a Materials Technician, you will be responsible for executing daily testing protocols, ensuring accurate documentation of data and results, and completing necessary paperwork for test reports. You will work closely with the Laboratory Manager to maintain compliance with current ASTM and AASHTO standards. Your role will also include conducting sampling and testing at construction sites, which may involve operating around heavy machinery and collaborating with contractors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the construction sector, with a focus on materials testing preferred.
  • Possession of New Mexico TTCP and ACI certifications or the ability to obtain them within one year.
  • Strong organizational abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work independently.
