Business Development Specialist

The Role You'll Play to Create Success: As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our business. Your primary responsibility will be to interpret high-level business requirements and translate them into actionable project plans, schedules, team goals, success criteria, and project milestones. You will serve as the liaison between our customer community and development teams, ensuring that requirements flow smoothly through the system.
You will conduct interviews and lead requirements gathering sessions with business representatives to elicit and document business requirements for system development. You will also write business and system functional and non-functional requirements, including usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements. Effective communication will be key, as you will need to convey issues to business customers and elicit feedback from applications programmers and technology solution providers.
Your Attributes and Skills:
A strong aptitude for technology and extensive insurance experience are essential for this role. A bachelor's degree in business administration or information systems is preferred, but equivalent years of experience and a high school diploma may be substituted. Seven years' experience in a Business Analyst capacity, focused in a workers' compensation insurance business environment, is required. Five years of commercial insurance business experience, which can include underwriting, commercial lines underwriting, business support services, etc., is preferable.
