The Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama is seeking a candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Applied Econometrics in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Legal Studies.

Job Summary:

Primary duties include teaching both theoretical and applied econometrics at the Ph.D., master's, and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in high-quality scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach econometrics courses at the Ph.D., master's, and undergraduate levels
  • Conduct research in applied econometrics and publish in top academic journals
  • Perform service as assigned by the Department, College, and University
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in economics or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated potential for publishing in top academic journals and a strong research pipeline
  • Demonstrated potential for high-quality teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Research and teaching experience in Applied Econometrics and Applied Microeconomics
  • Ability to teach a Ph.D. course in causal inference
