Job Title: Behavioral Health Support Specialist

Join our team at Lakeview Center as a Behavioral Health Support Specialist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to assist our counselors, therapists, and nursing staff in providing clinical support to individuals receiving substance abuse, mental health services, or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs, and community-based programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish a positive helping relationship with individuals receiving services.
  • Assist individuals in completing activities of daily living, accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals receiving services.
  • Implement specific interventions according to the individual's treatment or service plan.
  • Monitor and document individual progress.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of experience working directly with seriously emotionally disturbed children or seriously mentally ill adults, or completed one year (24 hours) of college classes.
  • Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $15.00 - $16.12 an hour based on experience. Shift differential pay ($2.00- $4.00) is available if applicable.
