Job Summary:

The Kennel Assistant provides critical support to our animal care team at North Cobb Animal Hospital. This role is responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care to animals, including feeding, exercising, and monitoring their health
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with animal restraint and handling
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital, including cleaning equipment and facilities
  • Follow a regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing animal enclosures and related areas
  • Complete tasks as assigned by management, including laundry and other duties
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, including answering questions and addressing concerns
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working in an animal hospital or kennel setting preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Working Conditions:
