Radiation Therapist I Proton Therapy

As a Radiation Therapist I Proton Therapy, you will be responsible for providing radiation therapy simulation and treatments to cancer patients in Radiation Oncology. You will document required radiation oncology simulation and treatment information in hospital and Radiation EMR. You will explain treatment procedures to patients, communicating clearly and concisely, and answer patient and family questions, deferring those outside your competence to the Radiation oncologist.

Bachelor of Science Degree from an ARRT Certified Radiation Therapy program, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 5 years of previous Radiation Therapist experience, required. Experience with Elekta experience preferred. Certified as a RT (T) Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required within 90 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
