Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Healthcare Claims Processing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for managing the billing and claims processes within our established medical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance providers.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient medical information.
  • Generate bills and invoices, detailing amounts owed for medical services.
  • Investigate insurance claims and maintain communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Research insurance policy stipulations and guidelines.
  • Collect and review necessary referrals and pre-authorizations.
  • Monitor and document late payments.
  • Input and manage claim information effectively.
  • Post insurance payments and oversee patient accounts.
  • Maintain precise financial records and adhere to payment protocols.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing within the healthcare sector.
  • Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical claims processing, with dental claims knowledge being a plus.
  • Strong skills in Patient Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and industry-specific policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service abilities, demonstrating patience and empathy.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
