About Addison Group:
Addison Group is in search of a committed Claims Billing Specialist to enhance our client's expanding healthcare team. This position provides a chance to operate in a vibrant setting where you can develop your expertise and make a significant impact in patient care.
Role Summary:
The selected candidate will be tasked with the preparation and submission of billing information and medical claims to insurance companies. You will ensure the precision of patient data, manage billing processes, and oversee accounts.
Key Duties:
- Prepare and submit medical billing and claims to insurance providers.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of patient information.
- Generate invoices for medical services provided.
- Investigate insurance claims and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
- Research insurance policies and confirm coverage.
- Manage referrals and pre-authorizations for patient services.
- Track and document payments, following up on overdue accounts.
- Input claim data and oversee patient accounts.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records and adhere to payment protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, ideally within the healthcare industry.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and other accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of industry best practices is crucial.
Additional Information:
- Full-time, in-office role with a Monday through Friday daytime schedule.
- Daily commuting to the office is required.
