Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Bealls, Inc. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Develop, coach, and evaluate management and associate talent to create a sustainable talent strategy that supports team and company growth.
    • Recruit, select, and manage a diverse range of associates and leaders.
    • Invest time in continuous training and development opportunities for self and others.
    • Inspire and motivate a team to deliver results through clear and concise feedback and coaching.
    • Create a sense of teamwork, collaboration, and engagement among associates.
  • Business Operations
    • Drive total store sales, understanding your role in sales growth and how you and your team impact total store profitability.
    • Build and lead a guest-centric culture across the store, utilizing guest survey reporting tools to drive change in key areas with the greatest impact on guest experience.
    • Champion our credit and loyalty programs, ensuring your team can inform, educate, and promote the benefits and offerings that reward our guests and enhance their shopping experience.
    • Guide operational accuracy, process, and workload efficiency.
    • Execute store merchandising direction and standards, product flow, inventory flexing, and signage to ensure consistency of brand experience.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements
    • Talented in coaching, training, and engaging associates with varying levels of experience.
    • Ability to build rapport, trust, and engage with clear and concise communication that enhances the growth and job performance of self and others.
    • Capability to interpret and apply company procedures/policies.
    • Utilize Zebra PDA, POS Systems, Microsoft Office Programs, and Payroll/Scheduling Software.
    • Works well both independently and within a team environment.
    • Establish goals, guide employee performance, and hold self and others accountable to high-performance standards and results.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, college degree preferred.
    • 2-3 yrs. minimum of management experience preferred.
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Team-building skills.
    • Work varying hours and schedules to include mid shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands
    • Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
    • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 20 pounds.
    • Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e. – bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching).
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
