Heavy Civil Construction Supervisor

Job Overview
Kiewit's Northwest District is seeking a seasoned Superintendent - Heavy Civil Construction to lead construction projects in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and develop Kiewit staff, promoting a culture of growth and excellence.
- Review and approve labor rates, ensuring effective contract administration.
- Manage field operations, including subcontractor management and communication.
- Develop strategies to maintain strong client relationships and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee job cost updates, quarterly cash flow projections, and change order negotiations.
- Implement project completion plans, ensuring timely turnover.
- Record keeping and performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Promote organizational, policy, and procedural improvements.
- Approve promotions up to General Foremen.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' construction experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role, overseeing projects like roads, bridges, dams, and water treatment plants.
- Background in heavy civil construction with knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with heavy equipment, earthwork, utilities, traffic control, paving, and signage.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise craft performance, read drawings, and interpret specifications.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to relocate temporarily or permanently as needed.
- Strong work ethic, passion for excellence, and commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Ability to prioritize safety, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with organization, time management, and attention to detail.
