Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Construction Manager to oversee construction projects in the Northwest District. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, specifically in heavy equipment, earthwork, utilities, traffic control, paving, and signage.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and grow fellow Kiewit staff members
  • Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen, and laborers
  • Manage contract administration and communication with subcontractors
  • Develop client relations programs and attend meetings with clients
  • Oversee job cost updates and cash flow projections
  • Negotiate change orders and ensure project completion
Requirements
  • 5+ years of work experience in construction, with 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Experience in heavy civil construction, including roads, bridges, dams, and water/wastewater treatment plants
  • Knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, safety regulations, and engineering drawings
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to relocate
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $89,174 - $137,050, based on location and experience. This posting will be active until August 31, 2024.
