Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our surgical suite, you will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the operating room, handling instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and evaluating changing conditions during procedures.

You will maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols, and may serve as a preceptor to support the development of our team members.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and prepare the surgical suite to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff
  • Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
  • Evaluate and respond to changing conditions during surgical procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
  • Serve as a preceptor to support the development of team members
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Associate degree or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience preferred
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

Location and Schedule

This position is based at Taylor Hospital, located at 10000 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI. The scheduled hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some on-call weekends.
