About the Role

The Field Technology Services team at LingaTech is seeking a skilled Network Systems Specialist to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and update software, hardware, and networking as necessary to support the Virginia Department of Corrections' education, programs, and operations efforts for VADOC sites and facilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in computer support, with a combination of desktop, server, and network support in a fast-paced, delivery-oriented agile environment.

Responsibilities include independently installing, updating, and managing applications and hardware at assigned facilities, as well as providing technical advice, guidance, and implementation of complex work items involving educational and DOC Operations software products.

The successful candidate will be comfortable going onsite to DOC facilities and will be required to travel to different sites. Remote work will be allowed when possible, but the nature of the work requires an onsite resource.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and update software, hardware, and networking as necessary
  • Provide technical advice, guidance, and implementation of complex work items involving educational and DOC Operations software products
  • Independently install, update, and manage applications and hardware at assigned facilities
  • Travel to different sites and be comfortable going onsite to DOC facilities

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills and experience in computer support
  • Combination of desktop, server, and network support in a fast-paced, delivery-oriented agile environment
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direct supervision
  • Comfortable going onsite to DOC facilities and traveling to different sites
