Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as charting and data entry.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician program or equivalent medical background experience.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong sense of accountability for improving patient outcomes and teamwork.
- Exceptional focus on patient care and service.
- Experience in phlebotomy and EKG checking.
- At least one year of PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting.
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician with phlebotomy and EKG training.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required within 60 days of hire.
