About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employment Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex employment litigation matters, providing expert counsel and advice to our clients, and collaborating with other members of the legal team to develop strategies for litigation and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Handling a variety of employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour disputes.
  • Responding to pleadings and managing discovery processes effectively and efficiently.
  • Drafting and revising employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Arguing motions and representing clients in both state and federal court.
  • Providing expert advice on labor and employment law to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with other members of the legal team to develop strategies for litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Staying updated on developments in employment law and advising clients accordingly.
Requirements
  • A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years' experience in employment litigation.
  • Proven experience in responding to pleadings and managing discovery.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle litigation matters from start to finish.
  • Strong experience in drafting and revising handbooks.
  • Proven experience arguing motions in state and federal court.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
