Senior Technical Customer Engineer - Hybrid
Job Overview:
As a Senior Technical Customer Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical liaison with our clients, collaborating closely with internal Engineering, Project Management, and Application teams.
You will advocate for TE product lines within a designated OEM account, employing strategic initiatives and presentations to enhance the value we deliver through our offerings.
Your role will involve providing insights and support to the Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Product Development teams, ensuring the successful delivery of our products and services to clients in the Southeast Michigan region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new interconnect opportunities and propose innovative solutions to address customer requirements, focusing on E-Mobility products.
- Collaborate strategically with TE sales and Field Application Engineers, as well as Product and Process teams, to represent customer perspectives and drive business growth.
- Lead and participate in customer engineering discussions and internal meetings to ensure timely project execution and achievement of planned milestones.
- Conduct on-site installations and provide service for products; manage on-site vehicle assembly plant trials, troubleshoot issues, and follow up with corrective actions and technical support.
- Engage in the customer's engineering activities; maintain communication with the program team, understand customer system requirements, and proactively address their needs.
- Oversee the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including marketing support for the development and implementation of both new and existing products.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to resolve complex interconnect challenges and technical inquiries by collaborating closely with clients and internal product teams to plan and negotiate necessary testing requirements.
- Build strong relationships and provide customer support by sharing information related to samples, delivery timelines, part specifications, quality concerns, and other relevant issues.
- Manage documentation for customer and internal engineering changes and design studies, tracking customer part numbers and facilitating sample requests.
Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of professional experience in the automotive connector industry, with a focus on active and passive electronic components and E-Mobility products.
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and make informed, timely decisions independently or in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
