Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Intern Rotational Program

Cirrus Aircraft is seeking active Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) students attending Lake Superior College interested in an Aviation Maintenance Intern Rotational Program. This is a part-time internship opportunity based in Duluth, MN.

Job Summary:

The Aviation Maintenance Intern Rotational Program is a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and exposure to the general aviation manufacturing environment. As an intern, you will be trained in installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts. This internship will provide you with the skills and knowledge to enhance your aviation knowledge as an Aviation Maintenance Technology student.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts.
  • Following engineering drawings and specifications to install, connect, or bond aircraft parts using adhesives, rivets, or threaded fasteners.
  • Ensuring fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance complies with design requirements.
  • Preparing and using fixtures to aid in locating, bonding, or drilling aircraft parts.
  • Routing wire harnesses in accordance with specifications.
Requirements:
  • Current Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) student attending Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
