Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Aviation Safety Professional Intern. This internship will provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in safety management system development, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Safety Investigations: Observe and assist in the investigation of NTSB reportable incidents and accidents, including travel to incident sites.
  • Conduct Safety Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the disposition of internal safety reports, including conducting follow-up with stakeholders, photographing and documenting evidence, summarizing findings, and making safety recommendations.
  • Support Safety Management System Development: Assist in writing case notes, final reports, and making presentations on investigations, as well as participating in flight data analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Attend senior leadership meetings to discuss corporate flight safety and provide updates on safety initiatives.
  • Develop Safety Content: Draft safety articles and other safety content for internal safety publications.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in aviation, safety, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel within the continental United States during the internship (expenses paid).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
