Position Summary
As a Senior Recreation Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in executing a comprehensive recreation program that aligns with our commitment to student development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the recreation department, ensuring adherence to established schedules.
- Implementing a variety of engaging programs tailored to meet the diverse interests of our student population.
- Promoting wellness and health initiatives through organized activities and events.
- Supervising recreation staff and stepping in as Acting Recreation Supervisor/Manager when necessary.
- Maintaining compliance with safety protocols and guidelines during all recreational activities.
- Documenting student participation and maintaining accountability throughout programs.
- Managing inventory and maintenance of recreational equipment, including recommending purchases and performing repairs as needed.
- Ensuring the recreation facilities are well-organized and presentable at all times.
- Providing high-quality supervision and fostering a positive environment that encourages student engagement and accountability.
- Collaborating with various departments to enhance service delivery and student support.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate's Degree or one year of relevant experience working with youth is preferred.
- A valid in-State Driver's License is necessary, with a preference for CDL.
- Physical capabilities include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform various physical activities.
