About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at SSTAR. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of security and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network architecture, including servers, desktop systems, and network devices
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring optimal uptime and security
  • Install and configure network and security devices, including firewalls, VPN concentrators, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Troubleshoot network and security issues, making corrective actions as necessary
  • Assist with help desk tickets and provide technical support to staff
  • Plan, design, research, and acquire new or upgraded hardware technology, recommending modifications as necessary
  • Administer Microsoft SQL environment, including monitoring backups, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent expertise and knowledge
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with network technologies, network monitoring tools, and documentation of systems
  • Visio knowledge is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and represent the organization with a positive, professional attitude
