Lunar Turbomachinery Design Engineer II-III

We are seeking an experienced Turbomachinery Design Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin, working on the development of our Lunar Lander for NASA's Artemis mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing turbomachinery components for our lunar vehicle, ensuring the highest level of performance, safety, and reliability.
Responsibilities- Design and develop turbomachinery components, including cryogenic pumps, using Creo Parametric/ProE software.
- Create and modify CAD models, interface control models, and interface control drawings.
- Deliver geometry to analysis teams for finite element modeling.
- Release engineering drawings in Windchill.
- Perform model and drawing check activities during release reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in turbomachinery design.
- Strong mechanical design skills using Creo Parametric/ProE software and Windchill.
- Professional experience performing turbomachinery layout during clean sheet or preliminary design phases.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools, preferably ANSYS.
- Demonstrated expertise in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5) in turbomachinery applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Experience releasing drawings in aerospace.
- Experience with clean sheet turbomachinery designs.
- Proven understanding of materials properties and treatments.
