The Application Systems team is tasked with ensuring the EHR system operates effectively, enabling all users to fulfill their designated roles efficiently.
As a vital member of the Application Systems team, the EHR Systems Support Specialist will assist colleagues throughout the project lifecycle.
Under the guidance of the Director of Application Systems, you will oversee our EHR, which includes application support, monitoring updates, and documenting/reporting issues.
This position may involve providing technical or billing support while ensuring application integrity. You will serve as tier 2 support for end users.Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
1. Investigate, resolve, and respond to end-user inquiries and issues submitted through the ticketing system and phone calls from EHR Application Technicians.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve application problems, escalating more complex issues as necessary.
3. Offer expertise on software functionality, design, development, and testing related to the EHR.
4. Collaborate with end users and leadership to design and enhance the EHR in a timely manner, making necessary configuration adjustments or improvements.
5. Provide technical and/or clinical consultation, including application configuration. Assess system needs to formulate recommendations for users.
6. Develop, support, and maintain all required system design and build documentation and other system records.
7. Conduct daily monitoring of applications in active use.
8. Collaborate with trainers to create and maintain application-specific training materials and curriculum.
9. Adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change management.
10. Engage in projects and software implementations as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of relevant experience in healthcare.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records, preferably Homecare Homebase.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to learn and master all workflows within the EHR.
Comfortable collaborating with various users and departments.
