Job Summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team in developing and implementing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Human Resource technology driving our business. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our Human Resource Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Translate business priorities into technical requirements for HR value proposition and strategies
  • Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits through efficient and organized processes
  • Effectively communicate with team members, product owners, stakeholders, and influence solutions across business partners
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes
  • Continuously research, test, and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes, and capabilities
  • Build and maintain thorough documentation for system implementation
  • Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience with Workday functional configuration tasks (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, Performance Management)
  • At least 2 years of experience configuring business processes within the Workday platform
  • At least 1 year of experience with calculated fields or custom reports
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience with Workday functional configuration
  • 1+ years of experience with Workday Finance
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment
  • Workday or Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, or Performance Management)
  • 2+ years of experience with Workday Security or Workday Reporting
  • 1+ years of experience loading HCM data into Workday using existing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB's)
