About the Role

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Program Manager to lead programs that deliver critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms.

About the Team

The team is responsible for the entire data backend of all HR systems enterprise-wide. As a Senior Manager, Technical Program Manager, you will help lead the entire HR data transformation for all of Capital One.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical programs that deliver critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize program objectives.
  • Manage and execute program plans, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to program teams.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs.
  • Strong technical background, with experience building highly scalable platforms, products, or services.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and drive well-educated decisions.
  • Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
  • 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs.
  • Experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment.
