About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer - Substation Design Lead to join our team at Solvenow Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design of substation electrical systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and quality program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continues to learn and apply independent knowledge and interpretation of departmental design guides, standards, and applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies and procedures.
  • Consistently applies knowledge and complies with quality program relative to assigned tasks.
  • Prepares complex engineering deliverables, performs research, and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
  • Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Plans and conducts independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Requirements:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • California PE License or a PE in any US state.

  • Substation Design Physical & P&C.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control of substation design projects.
